Warm, practical counselling that helps you understand what is getting in the way — and make changes that feel genuine, manageable and yours.
About Theresa
I’ve worked as a counsellor for over two decades across community and mental health, alcohol and drug services, university counselling, Rape Crisis, EAP services and private practice.
My style is professional, warm and confidential. I work collaboratively — helping you identify what matters, understand what is keeping you stuck and find practical ways to move toward the life you want.
I welcome diversity and work with clients from the teenage years through to mature adulthood. My background spans cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment, existential and person-centred therapies, alongside motivational interviewing and mindfulness.
How I workBeyond the therapy room
Family, meditation and time by the sea are important parts of Theresa’s own life — from regular beach walks to boating, fishing and swimming.

My foundation is person-centred therapy: I support you to find solutions that are genuine and specific to you, then draw on the approaches that best fit your needs.
We make sense of what is happening, what has shaped it and what you want to change.
We identify realistic goals and the most useful tools, skills or perspectives to work with.
You build practical change that feels sustainable beyond the counselling room.
